Fortnite’s Rifts have become a bit more exciting as players can now take them on the move to teleport to the sky whenever they like.

Rifts first appeared in July as random cracks in fixed locations, which participants could jump through to send them diving from the sky.

Rift-to-go comes in the form of a snow globe-like object, allowing gamers to descend mid-air whenever they need to, acting as a potentially handy escape route from a heated battle.

However, the Rift will linger for ten seconds, meaning anyone nearby can choose to hop in and teleport above with you.

Players will be able to find the Rift-to-go in chests, vending machines, supply drops and Loot Llamas throughout the game’s map.

The item is the main addition to the hit battle royale title’s 5.30 patch, which also saw small tweaks to how some weapons work, including the pump shotgun, the double barrel shotgun and clingers, as well as the usual bug fixes.

The Risky Reels location has also been updated as a spot to watch Prepare For Collision, the winner of Fortnite’s movie-making challenge last month.
