Love Island contestant Amy Hart has welcomed her first baby with boyfriend Sam Rason – saying they are “so in love”.

The reality TV personality, 30, shared a series of photographs of her and her partner in the delivery room with their son on Instagram on Tuesday.

Hart, who has publicly documented her efforts to conceive since 2019, said she had contractions for four days at home and was told they were Braxton Hicks – so only spent four hours in the delivery suite.

Alongside the images, she wrote: “Well…. 4 days of contractions at home (which everyone told us were braxton hicks… they weren’t), 4 very short hours in the delivery suite and 5 long days in hospital later, we are home with our dreamy baby boy.

“Born at 3.31am on 3/3/23 weighing 8lbs with the most beautiful head of hair (Amy would take the 9 months of reflux again) and we are so so in love.

“Proper introductions to come but now we’re home safe and sound.

“Thank you to everyone who sent their well wishes. We really appreciated it over the last few days

“Here’s a few delivery room snaps, can’t wait to show you his beautiful, non post birth swollen face.”

Fellow Love Island contestants were among those to offer the couple their congratulations.

Olivia Attwood said: “Ahhh congratulations. So beautiful”.

Yewande Biala, who featured on the same series as Hart, wrote: “OMG he’s here”.

Shaughna Phillips, who was in series six of the reality dating show and is also pregnant, said: “So beautiful! Congratulations to you all, glad you’re all home.”

Last August, on Loose Women, Hart announced she was expecting her first child, three years after she revealed on the ITV show she was going to freeze her eggs.

She told the panel it had been “very unexpected” as she and Rason had not planned to start trying to conceive until 2023.

In 2019, Hart appeared on the talk show to explain her decision to freeze her eggs at the age of 27 after a test showed low fertility levels for her age.

At the time, she considered it “insurance” in case she did not find a partner.

Hart previously said she did not want to get engaged until after her pregnancy but wants to get married in Spain.

The former air hostess left the Love Island villa early in 2019 after splitting with partner Curtis Pritchard several weeks into the series.

Since appearing on the hit ITV2 reality dating show, Hart has gone on to perform in the Jack And The Beanstalk pantomime at the Kings Theatre in Portsmouth.
