Her fellow Loose Women panellists rushed to wish her well, with Linda Robson saying on the ITV chat show: “She is so elegant, she’s going to be amazing. We will all have to go down and support her.”
However, she warned the chairs round the dancefloor are “really uncomfortable”, adding: “They don’t move so you get one cheek on one chair and one cheek on the other.”
Our @RuthieeL is going to be on this year's Strictly. We know she will be great!💃

Robson was a frequent visitor to the Strictly Come Dancing studio in 2016 when she sat in the audience to support her Birds Of A Feather co-star Lesley Joseph.
Her co-star Andrea McLean joked: “I will take my own cushions.”
