Arsenal Fan TV has grown exponentially over the last few years, largely by posting angry (and entertaining) rants from disgruntled Arsenal fans.

But if there was any Arsenal fan able to give an almost completely impartial interview on the channel, it would be John Bercow – the Speaker of the House of Commons.

The politician was asked whether he lands on the side of Wenger In or Wenger Out – and while he advocates for the manager to stay, Bercow was clear he’s also completely understanding of those with the opposite view…

Bercow’s job requires him to preside over debates in the House of Commons and generally try to keep things in order.

But the role also means Bercow can’t take part in debates, and you could tell he was thrilled to finally be encouraged to have an opinion when asked by Robbie his thoughts on the Wenger situation, the move from Highbury, and whether Alexis Sanchez will stick around in the summer.

Regarding the latter, Bercow believes Sanchez should be considered alongside Arsenal greats like Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Liam Brady – and he really hopes he sticks around.

Really though, all he wants is for fans to back the team: “Can we still finish in the top four? We can. Is it possible for us to win the FA Cup? It is. And I think the chances of doing either or both of those things are that much better if the fans get behind the team.”

You can tell he’s not watched much Arsenal Fan TV…
