With so many stories about Donald Trump’s policy decisions dominating headlines, we’re just quite glad to stumble across one that deals with the smaller stuff.

New Jersey governor Chris Christie went to the White House on Valentine’s Day, and he dished the dirt on his trip in an interview on the sports radio show Boomer and Carton.

If you were dying to hear about what day-to-day life in the White House is like, thanks to Christie, we’ve got a bit more of an insight… about meals there at least.Christie divulged what it’s like to eat with the president. Basically, you’re given a menu but you can also order anything else you can think of.Well, most people could – except for Christie. Instead of choosing his own meal, apparently, Trump said: “Chris, you and I are going to get the meatloaf.”

We sure hope Christie likes meatloaf, because it doesn’t sound like he had a choice in the matter.

Host Craig Carton thought that this was all very emasculating for Christie, but the governor didn’t seem to mind. Apparently, the meatloaf at the White House is pretty good, if you were wondering.

Don’t worry – Trump didn’t make Christie’s wife Mary Pat have meatloaf too, and she instead ordered pumpkin ravioli. No word on which meal was better.
