A NEW £50,000 flexible working venture has been launched in the north-west.

Roe Flexi has opened at the Limavady headquarters of Roe Valley Enterprises.

The space, which features 16 shared co-working spaces, is geared at entrepreneurs, freelancers and remote workers.

Martin Devlin, chief executive, Roe Valley Enterprises said: “The decision to create a co-working space in our locality was a natural progression to address the current challenges business owners and start-ups face.

“How we work has transformed and as an organisation we must provide suitable alternatives and options for individuals.

“A co-working space is appealing for many in the current economic climate, we offer flexible packages and take care of all the infrastructure that usually comes with having your own office.

“We also recognise the need for entrepreneurs and freelancers to collaborate and connect with one another.”

The new venture has been backed by funding from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs’ rural social economy investment scheme.

David Reid, the deputy secretary of central services and rural affairs at DAERA, said: “This high-quality facility provides local people in the north west area with access to office services such as high speed broadband and meeting space without undertaking long commutes.

“This will help improve the work life balance for those availing of the facility, alongside reducing their carbon footprint.”
