THE group behind Spar, Eurospar and Vivo in the north has deployed the first of a new £1.9 million fleet of fuel efficient delivery vehicles.

Henderson Foodservice has ordered 18 new vehicles to serve its large network of branded supermarkets around the north.

The new replacement fleet include four 26-tonne and fourteen 18-tonne trucks.

Speaking as the group accepted delivery of the first two vehicles, which have been wrapped in its Barista Bar branding, logistics manager Gavin Hamill said: “Our new 18-strong fleet is a significant investment from Henderson Foodservice as we continue our post-pandemic recovery alongside the hospitality and tourism industries across the island of Ireland.

“We will continue to introduce the new lorries to the roads throughout the remainder of the year as we grow the level of services we offer to our customers across the island of Ireland, helping them meet their shopper and consumer demands.”
