BALLYCLARE builder Hagan Homes has begun construction on £3.25 million residential scheme in Strabane which is creating 38 jobs.

Old School Court on Orchard Road, the company’s second development in the town, will comprise 32 two-bed apartments with full turnkey specification, and the scheme will complete within the next 18 months.

The properties, close to Strabane’s most popular retail and hospitality establishments as well as North West Regional College, will go on the market for £105,000, with the show-home opening in May and the first owners likely to move in during the summer.

Jim Burke, director of sales and acquisitions at Hagan Homes (www.haganhomes.co.uk), said: “Old School Court follows on from our other apartment development called Printers House in Strabane back in 2015.

“We expect this site to generate a lot of interest, especially from first-time buyers, given that the market demand is still high despite the current climate.

“Old School Court will be a great asset to the housing landscape in Strabane, which benefits from some of the most competitive prices in the housing market in Northern Ireland.”

Hagan Homes is currently on site at 12 other sites across Belfast, Dundonald, Dunmurry, Comber, Carrickfergus, Antrim and Lisburn.

Strabane Property Centre will oversee sales at the new scheme.
