WOMEN in Business is urging businesswomen throughout the north to 'get nominating' ahead of the Monday September 30 noon deadline for this year's ninth running of the WIB Awards.

The organisation is looking forward to celebrating the fantastic accomplishments of local businesswomen at the annual awards bash in Belfast's Crown Plaza Hotel on November 7, when business leaders from all sectors to come together to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the business community.

Sponsored by Virgin Media Business for the second consecutive year, the annual awards celebration recognises businesswomen, female entrepreneurs, business leaders and senior managers from a diverse range of disciplines through 11 categories at the only ceremony of its kind in Northern Ireland.

The past eight years has seen winners from a wide range of sectors including tourism, media, technology and the public sector.

Women in Business chief executive Roseann Kelly said: “We are a business community who strongly believe that encouraging, inspiring and celebrating business leaders is at the heart of what we do, and how we succeed.

“Northern Ireland boasts an extremely talented, hard-working and motivated pool of business women who lead successful businesses, and our business awards are designed to recognise the achievements of these women across a wide range of business categories.

“Testimonials from previous award winners demonstrate the positive impact that receiving such an award can have on the individual or business and we would like to warmly encourage women throughout the country to get nominating on behalf of themselves or a colleague before the deadline.”

All the finalists will also join the Women in Business award finalist alumnae of nearly 300 women which offers the opportunity to network and engage with like-minded businesswomen and will be invited to attend an exclusive retreat for a day of networking and inspirational seminars.
