FOODSERVICE and outsourcing giant Mount Charles has marked 30 years in business by setting itself an ambitious turnover target of £100 million by 2025.

The company - which works with more than 400 customers across the UK and Ireland - celebrated the business milestone with more than 200 colleagues, suppliers, friends and family at a movie themed celebration in Belfast's St George’s Market, when guests were taken on a trip down memory lane with some of the firm's finest memories.

Founder and chairman Trevor Annon thanked the entire Mount Charles ‘family’ for their unwavering support, and while the past 30 years were to be applauded, he said the evening was very much about looking to the future.

It's been a year of continued stellar growth for the company, which in the summer secured a five-year contract with Europe’s largest regional airline Flybe to provide a combination of facilities management and catering services to its Exeter-based training academy and new Walker hangar.

Mount Charles is responsible for the daily operations of the Flybe training academy, which includes event management and hospitality, as well as for cleaning and on-site technical services.

That contract followed gains totalling £8m in the Republic as well as a franchise agreement with Ireland’s leading healthy fast-food retailer Freshly Chopped.
