GROOMSPORT Golf Centre has won an advertising campaign as part of a promotion run by Danske Bank.

Companies were invited to apply for the chance to win an exclusive advertising package, including access to Danske Bank’s creative agency to create their own eye-catching advert and two weeks of outdoor advertising space.

The result is a two- week advertising campaign for Groomsport Golf Centre on billboard sites in Newtownards and Bangor.

Gareth Graham, head PGA teaching professional at the Groomsport centre, said: “I’ve recently taken over the range and advertising of this level can be really expensive. The billboards have given the business really good exposure with a number of people coming to us after seeing the campaign.

“It was fantastic getting to work alongside Danske’s creative agency, Elm House Creative. They came out to the range and already had a good idea for the billboards. It was a very simple process and I am really pleased with how the campaign turned out.

“I wanted to open a new business account and Danske Bank came highly recommended by a friend. The promotion was running when I opened the account so it was fortunate timing."

Nicola McCleery, head of marketing at Danske Bank congratulated Gareth on being chosen as the winner in the ‘Small Business, Big Boost’ initiative.

“Danske Bank is getting behind small business in a big way and this initiative was a new and innovative way to support this important sector of our economy.

“Few small businesses have the resources to develop a marketing campaign so we were delighted to offer the expertise of our creative agency, Elm House Creative and to donate advertising space courtesy of our outdoor media partners, PML.”
