ABSOLUTE Radio has been snapped up by the owner of rival stations Cool FM and Downtown Radio in a £22 million deal.
The deal, subject to approval by the Office of Fair Trading, will see Absolute join the stable of stations controlled by Bauer Media UK. A spokesman said there were no plans for job cuts.
