FOUR Grammy Award winning American songwriters will feature on the bill of next year's Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival and Convention.

The event, which runs from March 11 to 13 2020, will be the 16th year of the Panarts organised 'BelNash' festival which links local performers with internationally acclaimed writers from the US.

The Country Music Association CMA Songwriters Series will return to the festival in March with an opening night concert at The Belfast Empire featuring three multi-award winning songwriters; Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna and Liz Rose have written multiple hits for the likes of Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum.

Drew Ramsey is coming to BelNash 2020 with 10 writers from the songwriting course he teaches with James Elliot at Belmont University in Nashville. Ramsey wrote Good Man and produced the Best R&B Album at the 2003 Grammys, recorded by India Arie. Drew went on to win a second Grammy with Best Rock Gospel Album for Jonny Lang and he has co-written with John Legend and Mandisa.

Festival director Colin Magee comments: "These amazing writers have agreed to share their songs and stories with our wonderful local artists and it’s a joy to be working with every one of them."
