THIS year's CS Lewis Festival gets under way on November 18, bringing talks, tours, film, theatre, music, workshops, craft fairs, exhibitions and more to venues across east Belfast in celebration of the life and works of the Chronicles of Narnia author.

"We are delighted to return with the fourth CS Lewis Festival," enthuses festival director Rachel Kennedy.

"Our diverse range of festival events and activities aims to encourage everyone from across the city and beyond to come, explore and enjoy Belfast’s connections with this extraordinary man."

If you've ever wondered what it was like to be part of The Inklings, the group of Oxford scholars which included Lewis and JRR Tolkien who used to meet and discuss their works at The Eagle and Child pub over a few light ales, don't miss the CS Lewis Festival's Inklings-inspired craft beer tasting and literature event at The Stoker’s Halt on the Upper Newtownards Road next Sunday.

Two local authors will be reading from a selection of works written by or associated with Lewis and The Inklings, which will 'paired' with carefully chosen craft beers from locally based distributor NS Craft Beers.

Literature and libation – together at last.

:: Tickets priced £12.50 and full festival programme information available at Eastsidearts.net.
