TOP Irish stand-up Ed Byrne is currently back on the road with his new show Outside Looking In, which concludes with a Derry date next year.
The title is directly inspired by Ed's observational comedy routines in which he highlights the regular absurdity of daily life. Indeed, now 20 years into his career, the Swords man continues to get great mileage out of poking gentle fun at himself and others.
The All Star Family Fortunes winner and regular panel show guest recently survived a televisual team-up with fellow comic Dara O'Brian.
Dara & Ed's Great Big Adventure saw the Irish funnyman embarking on an action-packed 4,000 mile road trip along the Pan American Highway, surviving treacherous terrain, dodgy food and Mexican wrestlers to recreate the original 1940s expedition south from Arizona to Panama which inspired the iconic road.
The Outside Looking In tour should be a doddle by comparison.
