Woman charged in connection with death of Co Donegal grandmother in Scotland

A woman is due to appear in court in Scotland charged in connection with the death of Donegal grandmother Ann Coll.

Ms Coll (61), who was originally from the Gweedore area of west Donegal, was found with serious injuries at a flat in the Rutherglen area of south Lanarkshire on December 22, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Last Friday a 37-year-old woman was arrested in connection with Ms Coll’s death by Police Scotland officers.

She was later charged, and a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The 37-year-old is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 5 February, 2024.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
