Hagan Homes has started construction on Water’s Edge, a new £7.5million “unique living experience” development in the Greenisland area of Co Antrim.

The 18-home project, across two apartment buildings, overlooks Belfast Lough and the North Down coast.

The apartments range from one to three bedrooms, and will go on sale priced between £225,000 and £500,000.

Water’s Edge, which has already generated 45 jobs during the construction phase, is expected to complete in just over two years. The first show home will open in April, with the first phase completion scheduled for September.

Hagan Homes, which has had a prominent presence in the north’s residential property sector for 35 years, says it anticipates a swift demand for the apartments.

The combination of a prime location with breath-taking views and modern, smart interiors is expected to make them highly sought after in the housing market.

High on efficient living, the properties are designed by architect Des Ewing, and thoughtfully curated to offer a comfortable and serene living space.

Among the features are the new Ember PS Smart Heating Control System, USB double sockets in all bedrooms and kitchens, and extensive electrical specifications. The properties will also be pre-wired for BT, Sky+, and Virgin Media, with ultrafast broadband speeds reaching 1000 Mbps.

Kitchens will feature coordinating quartz stone worktops, upstands, splashbacks, and handles. Contemporary underlighting enhances the kitchen units, which come equipped with electric double ovens, and hobs.

Jim Burke, director of sales and acquisitions at Hagan Homes, said, “Water’s Edge is not just a development; it’s a blend of modern living in a remarkably hard-to-find positioning looking over Belfast Lough. The sea views are unparalleled, and the commitment to energy-efficient living adds another layer of appeal. We’re excited to bring this unique opportunity to prospective homeowners and expect a lot of demand.”

Water’s Edge is the second new development Hagan Homes has brought to the market in recent months.

In December it launched Shimna Mile, in Newcastle, Co Down, a £4.75 million project comprising 27 homes.
