I was lucky enough to be invited to the Killashee Hotel a few weeks ago; it was my second time staying there and it was just as impressive as the first time.

The hotel is located in Naas and not only is it a hotel, it also has a world class spa as well as a leisure centre with acres of gardens and woodlands surrounding the hotel.

The Killashee Hotel is a mixture of historic design and modern amenities that gives this hotel its unique charm. The hotel has a choice of rooms and suites and they are of the highest luxury.

The hardest part of your day during your stay will be trying to get out of bed as they are so comfortable... though there’s plenty to do in the hotel to give you reason to do so.

The hotel spa is award winning, the ultimate treat to yourself and sure to be the highlight of your stay. It offers a number of different treatments and the staff are so friendly and good at what they do. You will leave fully relaxed and recharged and will float back to the hotel in the super soft robes and slippers.

Once you’ve been fully relaxed after the spa, prepare to have your tastebuds tantalised in the hotel's restaurant. The hotel has three restaurants, each with its own delicious and varied menu.

I’m not the most adventurous with food and while I can appreciate the fancy stuff and the work that goes into it, there’s nothing I love more than a good steak, and The Pippin Tree restaurant does exactly that.

While the Killashee Hotel oozes luxury, it is also family friendly and has plenty to entertain the kids. The hotel has a leisure centre with a 25-metre pool and a kids' pool, so it covers all ages.

You can let the kids tire themselves out in the playground or explore the fairy woodlands and then head back to the spacious family rooms. The hotel runs family events throughout the year and has some great family packages that won’t break the bank.

The hotel is the perfect base if you want to explore Kildare and all it has to offer. It’s the perfect excuse to head toward Kildare Village to grab yourself a bargain and there’s plenty of shops to choose from with great savings to be had.

The Japanese Gardens, National Stud and The Curragh Racecourse are also just a short drive from the hotel and make a great day out. There’s also plenty of adventure and activities in the area that you can take part in such as at The Avon adventure centre or Mondello Park motor racing circuit.

The Killashee Hotel will make your staycation memorable with all it has to offer. The staff will look after you and ensure you enjoy your stay and you will be finding an excuse to book again.

I know I’m already looking forward to my next stay – hopefully I will bump into a few of you there.
