THE Christy Ring Cup final will be replayed this Saturday, June 11 after Antrim successfully appealed the controversial result.

The GAA's Central Competitions Controls Committee reviewed the referee's report from last weekend's final and concluded the final score was, in fact, Antrim 1-20 to Meath's 2-17. The meeting took place on Tuesday morning and the CCCC have announced the result was recorded incorrectly by match day referee John O'Brien, who had recorded the result as a Meath victory, 2-18 to 1-20.

The Antrim county board reviewed the video of the game after it was discovered Meath only had 23 points recorded in their 24-23 win and decided to appeal the result.

The final will now be replayed on Saturday at 7pm in Páirc Esler, Newry.
