Telmesomethinggirl could have another say at Thurles

Telmesomethinggirl's jumping left a bit to be desired last time but she is fancied to put in a better round today on nicer ground.

The Stowaway mare overcame several mistakes to score at Naas in January and probably wasn't in love with proper winter going then.

Her big day over hurdles came at Cheltenham in March 2021 when she was an impressive winner of the Mares Novice Hurdle and she is a talented sort on her day.

She looked unlucky when brought down in the Mares Hurdle the following season at the festival and while she hasn't shown the same level over fences yet there is scope for plenty of improvement.

It's interesting that connections get more match practice in here with a return to Cheltenham presumably her main target.

Rachael Blackmore takes the mount again for Henry de Bromhead and the yard has hit form again recently after a bit of a quiet period.

Instit chased home Telmesomethinggirl in Naas and has gone on to open her account in good style since at Fairyhouse.

Likewise she wasn't great over her fences when the pair last clashed but she was much better when scoring last time. The Saint des Saints filly looks an obvious danger again.

Brides Hill has faced a few stiff tasks since going over fences and looks held by Telmesomethinggirl having been third behind her at this venue in December.

Darrens Hope has already bagged a Grade 2 prize this year but has pulled up on her last couple of outings and looks best watched.

Later the featured Grade 3 Michael Purcell Memorial Novice Hurdle would appear to be at the mercy of Sa Fureur.

The progressive Walk In The Park gelding sets a good standard here and was a cosy enough winner of a decent looking rated novice contest at Punchestown late last month.

Rexem would appear the one likely to give him most to do in a field half filled with mares that would appear to be black-type hunting.

In the following maiden hurdle Franciscan Rock looks the pick at the weights.

The Mouse Morris-trained gelding gets 8lb from rival Sir Argus in the race, run over just shy of three miles, and that could make the difference.

He comes into the race off the back of a couple of solid runner-up efforts and comes from a family that stays well.

Sit Argus is a talented sort but his jumping has let him down recently and that would be a major concern.
