PAUL Rafferty beat James Oliver to win the Mens’ Intermediate Ulster title last Sunday.

Oliver set the pace early on, but Rafferty took full control as the score progressed to take the coveted title over the Tullysaran Road.

Armagh ladies football star Kelly Mallon saw off Dervla Mallon to reach the final of the Ulster Ladies’ Senior Championship. The score was nip-and-tuck until Kelly pulled away late on and she now meets Siobhan Mackle in this year’s Ulster Final.

Meanwhile, Grange youngster Patrick Mackle won the boys U18 Ulster Championship beating former All-Ireland champion Ruairi Hughes from the Navan Club in the final and his senior clubmate Ethan Rafferty was crowned Ulster Junior A champion later that evening.

Rafferty, who scored in Armagh’s All-Ireland Qualifier win over Fermanagh on Sunday evening, beat Shane O'Neill over the Blackwatertown Road course last Friday night.

O'Neill won the toss and bowled first, but Rafferty went on to win by two bowls and will represent Ulster in the All Ireland final.
