Tyrone Senior Camogie final: Eglish 3-25 Derrylaughan 1-5

EGLISH retained their Tyrone senior title following another emphatic performance in a final, this time against last year’s intermediate champions Derrylaughan.

If Eglish are running up totals like this, Ciara Donnelly will be responsible for plenty of their scores. The Armagh county player accumulated 1-15 over the hour, her goal coming in the first half with many of her points from frees.

However player of the match went to her sister Aisling in defence. The wing half-back cleared a lot of ball and kept the pressure on any Derrylaughan player in possession.

Ciara’s goal meant that Eglish led by 1-11 to 0-4 at half-time, despite the best efforts of another pair of Donnelly sisters in the Derrylaughan colours, Orla and Emma.

Derrylaughan struggled to get quality ball through to Elisha Gervin in the forward line, although from limited possession the full-forward managed to accumulate 1-4.

However Eglish were always in control and Kaitlin Gallagher goaled twice during the second half to see them retain top spot in the county and passage to the Ulster championship wehere they meet the Down champions in November.
