TYRONE have appointed Michael McShane as their new senior hurling manager.

Ballycastle native McShane, the current Slaughtneil hurling manager, has been appointed on a three-year term.

“All Tyrone Gaels welcome him to the post and he brings with him a wealth of experience having guided Slaughtneil to three out of the last four Ulster Senior Club Championship titles,” said Tyrone PRO Eugene McConnell.

“Coiste Chontae Thír Eoghain wish to place on record their appreciation and thanks to outgoing manager Matty Lennon and his backroom team for all their dedication and hard work over the past six years”

County chairperson said: "We are very pleased to have one of Ulster's top managers taking over the reins of our Tyrone senior hurlers and we all wish him well.”
