ULSTER hurling boss Kevin Ryan has selected two Tyrone forwards in a team representing six counties which will take on Connacht in this Saturday’s Railway Cup semi-final.

Red Hands captain Damian Casey and Aiden Kelly are named as wing-forwards in an attack that includes only one Antrim man, Ciarán Clarke, at corner-forward. However, there are seven Saffrons on the team in total, starting with Loughgiel goalkeeper Chrissy O’Connell, who will skipper the side in Salthill. The entire full-back line also comes from the county that Ryan was in charge of until earlier this year.

Ryan has also picked two players each from Derry and Down and one apiece from Armagh and Donegal in his first 15.
