ARMAGH look set to be without Oisin O’Neill for the National League as he is set to undergo an ankle operation this morning.
Having opted out of inter-county duty last year, the highly-rated young Crossmaglen midfielder was brought back into the fold by Kieran McGeeney ahead of this year’s campaign.
But having sustained an ankle injury, the trainee teacher will go under the knife this morning and is set for a spell on the sidelines.
O’Neill, whose younger brother Rian is also expected to play a significant part for Armagh in attack this year, will miss St Mary’s Sigerson Cup campaign, which begins with a tie against last year’s beaten finalists NUIG this afternoon.
