Kerry board await ref's report on mass brawl

KERRY county board says it is awaiting the referee’s report before investigating the mass brawl that marred the SFC semi-final between Dingle and East Kerry on Sunday.

Footage emerged online yesterday of the row which took place in front of the two dugouts and involved a mass of players and team officials.

East Kerry’s Paudie Clifford was the sole recipient of a red card from the scenes, which also saw a number of team officials from both sides sent off.

Clifford’s brother and Allstar nominee, David, was later sent off as Dingle claimed a 4-13 to 0-12 win in which Paul Geaney stood out.

They will face Dr Crokes this weekend in a repeat of the 2012 decider, though it remains to be seen what, if any, punishment is handed down before that game.
