NIALL McKeever could make a return to the Antrim starting line-up for Saturday evening’s Pairc Esler quarter-final against Down.

The Portglenone midfielder hasn’t featured for the Saffrons since the second game of their Division Four campaign, but The Irish News understands that he could line-out at centrefield against the Mournemen.

McKeever burst onto the inter-county scene with Antrim in 2010 during their run to that year’s Ulster final and was signed by AFL outfit Brisbane Lions in that year’s ‘Rookie Draft’.

His last game for Antrim was in a 10-point win over Leitrim at Corrigan Park, but Saffrons manager Lenny Harbinson is expected to utilise his aerial ability in Newry this weekend.
