1 Niall Morgan (Tyrone)

On a fairly horrid day all round for the Red Hands, Morgan was a rare beacon of positivity between the sticks.

2 Colm Flanagan (Down)

Earned himself a league debut on the basis of his work during January and didn’t let Eamonn Burns down with a sound defensive display.

3 Aaron McKay (Armagh)

The Dromintee man stood forward as a potential long-term number three with a commanding performance against Sligo.

4 Niall Keenan (Derry)

Often held things together as Derry went man-for-man at the back against Westmeath, and continually popped up with possession in the opposition half.

5 Darragh O’Hanlon (Down)

Very strong around the half-back line, using his copious possession well, his trademark kick-passing standing out as he also finished with 0-3.

6 Niall McParland (Down)

The new Mourne skipper was a very disciplined and authoritative fulcrum at the heart of the defence in difficult conditions.

7 Karl O’Connell (Monaghan)

Up against Kevin McLoughlin, he limited the Allstar nominee well and was effective going forward, landing two points, including a fine long-range score.

8 Stephen Sheridan (Armagh)

Has developed quickly into a key player from Armagh, and his commanding, all-action performance on Sunday proved too much for Sligo.

9 Niall Kearns (Monaghan)

The League debutant showed no sign of nervousness as he took the Mayo midfield to task aerially, and looked a scoring threat, notching two points.

10 Paddy McBride (Antrim)

Stood out a mile for the Saffrons, hitting six points from wing-forward, as well as having a hand in numerous other scores.

11 Dara McVeety (Cavan)

Was, as usual, at the heart of the Breffni attacking display, scoring a vital goal and also setting up Caoimhin O’Reilly’s major.

12 Ethan Rafferty (Armagh)

The rangy Grange forward hit 1-3, his goal brilliantly finished to the roof of the net, and two of his first half points were long range screamers.

13 Paddy McBrearty (Donegal)

You get a sense that he could turn up in the team of the week most weeks. Ten points in Killarney almost helped drag Donegal over the line.

14 Seamus Quigley (Fermanagh)

In an entertaining encounter, it was two soccer-style finishes from the former Ballinamallard United striker that helped Fermanagh to victory.

15 Connaire Harrison (Down)

Down were struggling to get out of dodge in Drogheda until last summer's star hit 1-2 in a blistering five-minute spell.
