Everton's home clash with Liverpool next month will be the first Women's Super League Merseyside derby to take place at Goodison Park.

The match on March 26 will see Brian Sorensen's Toffees aim to complete a double over their local rivals, having beaten Matt Beard's side 3-0 at Anfield in September.

The derby was scheduled to take place at Goodison Park in 2019-20 but postponed due to adverse weather, and the season was then curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic with the fixture having not been played.

Everton's women's team have since played twice at the stadium, beating Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup semi-finals in September 2020 with no crowd in attendance, then going down 4-0 to Manchester City in the WSL a year later.

Sorensen's side are currently are currently fifth in the WSL table, three places above Liverpool, who were promoted last season.
