Super-featherweight: Jono Carroll bt Humberto Di Santiago TKO3

VOLUME-puncher Carroll added the IBF Inter-Continental belt to his EU strap with a one-sided beatdown of out-classed Mexican Di Santiago.

After dominating the first with variety to his work ‘King Kong’ went for the kill in the second and rocked his opponent back into the ropes twice in.

He continued a relentless barrage until a low blow gave Mexican temporary respite, but Carroll – cut over the right eye from a clash of heads - was back on him again until the bell brought a one-sided round to a close.

Referee Phil Edwards waved it off at 2.16 in round three – and not a moment too soon – with Di Santiago on the verge of being knocked through the ropes. Carroll moves to 15-0 and goes forward (he never takes a backward step) with confidence.

Light-heavyweight: Steven Ward bt Przemyslaw Binienda pts (60-55)

‘QUIET Man’ Ward grew in confidence as this fight unfolded.

After a cageyish start against game Pole Binienda, who had his moments in the fight, Ward settled and was onloading some big shots by the end. Another good test for the former amateur star who showed impressive reserves of fitness to progress to 6-0. He can expect a busy 2018 as he moves up in rounds and class.

Welterweight: Lewis Crocker bt Gyula Roszas TKO1

FOUR fights since making his pro debut back in March, four stoppage wins – three coming inside the first round. The man with the reputation for packing a big punch is backing that up, and looked impressive again in stopping Roszas with 1:50 gone in the opener.

Cruiserweight: Tommy McCarthy bt Blaise Mendouo pts (60-55)

BIG Tommy took a while to warm into Saturday’s undercard fight but was a convincing winner once he found his groove. Still rebuilding after 11 months out of action following his disappointing defeat to Matty Askin. Will hope 2018 brings bigger and better things.

Lightweight: David Oliver Joyce bt Reynaldo Cajina RTD3

AS expected, Joyce has taken to the pro ranks like a duck to water, and clocked up win number five on Saturday night. Cajina was retired in his corner at the end of the third after finding it hard to live with 2016 Olympian Joyce’s trademark all-action approach.

Featherweight: Marco McCullough bt Josh Bailie TKO3

ON the comeback trail again after May’s defeat to Ryan Walsh, the fourth if his career, McCullough shook off a few cobwebs with a third round stoppage win on Saturday night.

Lightweight: Gary Cully bt Kane Baker pts (40-35)

KILDARE southpaw Cully made it three from three, going the four round distance for the first time as he scored a convincing points win over a man whose last outing was a stoppage defeat at the hands of Conor Benn, son of Nigel.
