CORK CITY will be looking for a result to take back to Turner’s Cross as they face KRC Genk at the Luminus Arena in the Europa League third qualifying round on Thursday night.

John Caulfield’s men knocked out Swedish outfit BK Hacken in the last round after a 1-0 win at Turner’s Cross and the City boss says his side will need to perform as well against the Belgians as they did over the two legs against the Swedes: “They have a number of players with international experience; physically, they are a big, strong side," he said.

"From our point of view, we have to perform as well as we did over the two games against Hacken and our concentration levels have to be high to give us any chance of bringing the game back to Cork."

“While they seem to be a better team than Hacken, we have to look after ourselves and see if we can give the same level of performance as we did last week," Caulfield added.
