An idyllic Irish forest escape
Cabü by the Lakes lies deep within the woods of Killykeen Forest Park, Co Cavan.
Surrounded by nature, this unique hideaway sits directly on the lakes of Lough Oughter, in the centre of Ireland’s lake district.
Opened in July 2020, Cabü has created a unique, design-led concept, providing 28 stylish and eco-conscious cabins, scattered amongst the woodland, creating a calming oasis.
Changing the landscape of hospitality in Ireland, Cabü’s uniquely crafted cabins feature open plan living, Loaf furnishings, al-fresco dining and warming log burners.
The cabin types range from intimate one bed log cabins and loft cabins, featuring roll top baths in the bedrooms, to three bed boathouses comprised of two double rooms and bunk beds.
Utilising the stunning surrounds, Cabü by the lakes is the ideal place to focus your mind with forest bathing.
Based on ancient Japanese traditions, this natural practice has been proved beneficial for mind, body and soul and is the perfect ritual prior to a hot tub or sauna session at the nature spa.
Guests can take advantage of the luxurious Sitooterie, featuring grill tables to melt S’mores, roaring fires to cosy up to, and games and music to keep entertained. Guests can also stop off for a tipple or two at the Cabin Club, a new fully licensed bar, to kick back and relax.
Whatever the weather, the onsite lifestyle shop, Cabü Corner, has everything needed for a stay at Cabü, including boutique groceries, drinks, hand selected homewares, gifts, memorabilia and more.
Drinks and snacks purchased can be enjoyed around the Sitooterie, in your cabin or down by the lakes.
For guests seeking adventure, Cabü by the Lakes offers fishing lessons, paddle boarding, boating from The Jetty and kayaking.
Guests can also explore Killykeen Forest on foot or on Cabü bikes.
Cabü by the Lakes offers quiet escapism teamed with adventure, exploration and Irish charm - this 100-acre private site is the perfect place to call home when visiting Ireland.
