THOUSANDS of protesters flooded city streets across America to condemn Donald Trump’s election in demonstrations that showed the raw divisions exposed by the presidential race.

In Detroit a small group of protesters made their feelings known.

Irish News political correspondent John Manley is in the US reporting on the presidential elections and filmed this footage.
