EAMONN Holmes had a bone to pick with Jamie Dornan.

He and wife Ruth Langsford  interviewed the Co Down actor on This Morning ahead of the return of The Fall series coming back on our screens and his new film Anthropoid,  which he stars alongside Irish actor Cillian Murphy.

The film features a plot to kill SS leader Reinhard Heydrich, who is directly involved in the planning of the Holocaust.

Eamonn brought up an gripe he has held against  the Hollywood star since the good-looking father of two won a public competition to have his face on a Translink bus in Belfast.

The Metro Legends competition gave the public the opportunity to vote for what famous face from Northern Ireland they would like to see on the side of the bus.

The final five was Jamie Dornan, Carl Frampton, Rory Best, Mary Peters, Michael O'Neill or Eamonn Holmes.

And while it was between Rory Best and Jamie Doran for the final honour, Eamonn felt it was really between him and Dornan and took the opportunity to tell him about his ire at the final outcome.

This Morning:

Eamonn asked viewers: "Who do you think the great Belfast public voted to name the bus after? It wasn't me."

A sheepish Jamie replied: "It's probably the most stoned bus in Belfast I'd imagine with my mug on the back of it."

But Eamonn joked back: "At least I don't look like the back end of the bus. It's probably why it didn't go to me."

Anthropoid is out in theatres on September 9 while the third series of The Fall is back on BBC 1 at the end of September.
