Sinn Féin's very good general election - but not outstanding
Sinn Féin had a very good election: very good but not outstanding.
No party which increases the number of its TDs by over 50 per cent can be described as having had other than a very good election. The party also polled 295,000 votes making Sinn Féin the third largest party in the Republic.
