Election posters to be banned from Giro route
ELECTION posters have been banned from the Northern Ireland stages of the Giro d'Italia. The Department of the Environment (DoE) is working on legislation to ban posters from the three stages over May 9 to May 11. Any posters put up along the route over the three days will be removed. The ban will also include May 8, the day before the race starts. However, posters can be put back up after the race, in the run-up to the European and local elections on 22 May.
