THE family of a north Belfast man shot dead by the British army 42 years ago are seeking to have his inquest reopened in light of new documents that show the government knew he was innocent. Christopher Quinn (39), pictured right, was gunned down in Unity Place near Belfast city centre on November 4 1971. His inquest recorded an open verdict as the coroner said the evidence was "confusing" and it was impossible to determine if it was a "justifiable killing".
