Poignant tributes after Jack Glenn search

The relatives of 23-year-old Jack Glenn have had to endure an appalling ordeal since he was seen going into the River Foyle in Derry almost two months ago.

However, the major search operation organised by the emergency services was immediately helped by the tireless efforts of large groups of volunteers from across the city and beyond.

A huge amount of territory in and around the banks of the river had to be combed on a daily basis and thankfully his body was eventually recovered earlier this week.

Jack's father paid a moving tribute yesterday to everyone who supported the family and there will be huge relief that a funeral service can finally be staged this weekend.
