Mount Charles and The Irish News present to you…
THE BIG SCHOOL COOK OFF

Does your school have any budding Nigella Lawsons or Jamie Olivers in its midst?
If so, then this is the competition for you! Mount Charles, SuperValu and The Irish News have partnered up to launch the 2018/19 Big School Cook Off!
The Mount Charles Big School Cook Off is open to post primary school pupils aged between 11 – 14, and schools across every county in Northern Ireland plus Donegal are welcome to enter!
What do you have to do?
All you have to do is nominate a team of two from your school to submit a creative recipe idea for a main course with a focus on locally sourced ingredients.
The judging panel will shortlist the recipes and the successful finalists will take part in a regional heat, where each cooking duo will prepare the recipe they submitted to the competition.
You can enter more than one team if you like, increasing your chances of your school making it to the regional heats!
The regional finals will be judged on the day, and the winning team from each heat will go forward to once again cook their recipe for an esteemed panel of judges at the grand final of the competition.
