Cannabis worth nearly £500,000 seized at Dublin Airport
HERBAL cannabis worth almost £500,000 has been seized at Dublin Airport
The discovery of around 27.2kgs of the drugs was made on Monday, as a result of routine operations by revenue officers at the airport.
The drugs were seized when a passenger was stopped and his luggage searched following his arrival off a flight from Johannesburg, via Dubai. The drugs were discovered concealed within vacuum packed packages in his luggage.
A man in his 60s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is being questioned.
