Two men are to appear in court charged in connection with the discovery of cannabis in Dublin worth around €2.4 million

The pair, aged in their 40s, were arrested following the discovery of around 120 kilos of herbal cannabis in the south Dublin area on Monday.

Two vehicles were intercepted in Tallaght by officers from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

A house in the Knocklyon area was also searched

A Gardaí spokesperson said investigations into the seizure were "ongoing".

Both men are due to appear before Dublin's Criminal Courts of Justice on Wednesday.
