A MAN has been arrested after cocaine with an estimated street value of €339,500 was seized in Dublin.
The seizure was made by members of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and personnel attached to the Revenue Customs Service as part of ongoing investigations "targeting persons suspected to be involved in an organised crime group operating in the north Dublin area".
Revenue officers recovered the cocaine, which weighed 4.85 kilograms, before a 22-year-old man was arrested under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
He was detained on Wednesday night at Swords Garda Station.
A Garda spokesperson said: "Investigations are ongoing."
