A WOMAN arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Dublin has been released without charge.

The arrest followed the stabbing of a man in his 30s at Claddagh Court in the Ballyfermot area of the city at around 2.30am on Tuesday morning.

The woman, aged in her late 40s, had been taken to Clondalkin Garda Station.

A garda spokesperson said the woman was released on Wednesday evening without charge.

A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
