Taoiseach Micheál Martin to appear on tonight's Late Late Show to discuss ongoing Covid-19 pandemic

TAOISEACH Micheál Martin will appear on The Late Late Show on RTÉ tonight to discuss the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mr Martin will speak with host Ryan Tubridy to provide an update on the current situation on managing the outbreak following fresh changes to restrictions.

Also appearing on tonight's show is Kathryn Thomas, presenter of Operation Transformation.

The show which is set to return to screens for its 15th season, will also welcome the five new leaders for 2022 - John Ryan, Stefano Sweetman, Kathleen Hurley Mullins, Katie Jones and Sarah O'Connor Ryan - as they embark on a health and wellness journey with the main intention to reset and kick-start a new chapter in their lives.

Tonight's show will also host a special TradFest music session with some of the country’s most-talented Irish musicians.

Mike Hanrahan (Stockton's Wing), Niamh Dunne (Beoga), Dara & Mick Healy (Boxing Banjo), Bridín, Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh (Altan), Séamus and Caoimhe Ui Fhlatharta are among the musicians who will perform during the show.

The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One, Friday tonight at 9.35pm.
