A Co Monaghan GAA club has turned to Hollywood for inspiration to help sell tickets for a fundraising draw.

Castleblayney Faughs has pulled in some of the county's best known stars to raise cash for an new development.

In recent weeks Monaghan football legend Nudie Hughes, a three-time All-Star and Castleblayney native, has polished up on his acting skills to play the part of Marty McFly from Back to the Future and James Bond in short films circulated on social media.

The draw will see the club give away €54K in prizes including a chance to win a new car and €5000 in cash.

In one of the clips Nudie travels back in time to the 1980s as the viewer gets a chance to relive some of his finest moments in both county and club colours.

In another sketch the sharply dressed Monaghan man takes on the role of 007 as the James Bond theme tune plays in the background.

The Faughs favourite is joined by current Monaghan star Rory Beggan who is seen carrying a briefcase full of cash.

Proceeds will go towards completing the development of a second pitch at St Mary's Park in Castleblayney.
