PUPILS at a DUBLIN school were yesterday give a first glimpse of the video for the latest single from rapper Stormzy.

The students at Pobalscoil Neasain in Baldoyle were shown the animated video for Superheroes, which was accompanied by a speech from the award-winning music star.

The debut of the video for the single, which is taken from Stormzy's recent album Heavy is the Head, was also shown at schools in London, Glasgow, Dublin and Manchester.

The single is inspired by children's films and makes a call for harmony and understanding.

Speaking about the song and video, Stormzy said, "I wanted to show it to you guys first because being students at school, I think it's important that you guys understand how powerful you are.

"Despite the colour of your skin, despite where you come from, despite your religion, despite whatever it is that you feel may be holding you back, you are a Superhero.

"So, I wanted to make this video to inspire you guys, to make you realise that the sky is the limit."
