A MAN in his twenties remained in custody yesterday after a loaded gun was seized on a Dublin to Belfast train.

The man was arrested at Connolly Station in Dublin on the 3.20pm train to Belfast on Wednesday.

He was being questioned at Store Street Garda Station.

A woman, also in her twenties, was later arrested at Dublin airport during follow-up searches.

According to reports, gardaí believe the gun was intended to be used to kill a rival criminal gang member in Belfast.

A feud between the Kinahan and Hutch crime gangs in Dublin has already cost several lives.

One of the Kinahan gang is living in Belfast having survived recent murder attempts.
