THE Stormont assembly will start sitting on two days every week from next Monday.
Since the New Decade, New Approach deal was agreed last month, assembly plenaries have taken place on Mondays only, due to a limited workload.
From next week, however, MLAs will attend plenaries on Mondays and Tuesdays to reflect an increase in the business they are expected to deal with.
They have also foresaken their schedule recess, which had been due to take place this week to coincide with half-term.
