Pupils from St Patrick's College, Bearnageeha on the Antrim Road in north Belfast play conkers during a lunch break in 1994. A favourite past time for generations of children during the months of September and October, the game is played with seeds of horse chesnut trees gathered from the ground and threaded onto strings, with players taking turns to strike each other's conker until one breaks.
