Police have closed off a road outside Downpatrick due to a fallen electricity pole, while several power outages have been reported elsewhere.

A police spokesperson said that the Killough Road, Downpatrick, is closed while repairs are carried out with drivers advised to seek alternate routes.

Current information on the Northern Ireland Electricity Networks site reports power cuts in Co Down outside Crossgar and Hilltown.

NIE also said they were aware of a power cut in the Holywood area and that engineers were working to restore power as soon as possible.

Outside Omagh, a further two power cuts are listed as well, with repair teams assigned.
